High-def TV is disgusting
My Dad brought home a new high-def TV to review, and it is sweet! (It sucks that we don’t get to keep this stuff.) But my brother Marcus, the little dummy, popped in a high-def version of a DVD called Don’t Try This at Home - The Steve-O Video that he borrowed from a friend. Apparently it’s stunts by Jackass Steve-O that were too crude and gross to make it on the old MTV show cuz that show had “censors”. Unfortunately I was in the room when he started watching it.
That DVD is soooooooo gross. Imagine junior high boy humor (y’know, most of it focusing on bodily functions like farting, peeing and sex, not to mention plain old stupid stunts guaranteed to inflict bodily injury) put to real life by guys in their 20s. Yeah. It’s actually worse than that. If you can believe it.
Now imagine watching that on a high-def TV!! It’s like way more information than I need to know. It’s like actually being there when you really don’t want to be there!
… After seeing that DVD, I feel sorry for Steve-O’s girlfriend. I couldn’t even look him in the face. Ewwwwww!
Don’t you agree that some things don’t belong on HDTV? I think I’ll now reserve it for watching comedies, romances and animated movies!
Hey, I found this cool HDTV commercial. It kinda makes my point.

Steve-O? That guy’s a clown. Seriously. According to his Wikipedia page, he graduated from the Ringling Brothers - Barnum & Bailey Clown School. I wonder if they invite him back to give commencement speeches. That would be something to see.

Hey Lexi, does this mean we can’t watch The Exorcist on the HDTV? You DID say that you like to be scared watching movies. That classic horror flick in HD should do it!

Ewww. The Exorcist trailers shows the possessed girl throwing up green slime. That’s gonna be so gross in HD!! It’s probably a better movie to watch on my ipod. LOL

Jackass is my favorite show, next to Earl, of course.
Steve-O is my favorite guy on Jackass.
It’s good to see celebrities like Steve-O make role models out of themselves kind of by accident, not the big money publicity. So what if he’s having drug problems or disorders? How could he do this great show without some help?
